I have yet to see any problem, however complicated,
which, when you looked at it in the right way, did not become still
more complicated. Well, back to the old drawing board. If you don't know where you're going, you'll surely end up somewhere
else. To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first, and call whatever you
hit the target. If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research,
would it?
The first rule of intelligent tinkering is to save all the parts. When you lose, don't lose the lesson. Basic research is what I am doing when I don't know what I am doing.
